Interior Design for De Oostvaarders in Almere

In this visitor centre at the border of the Oostvaardersplassen, visitors can have food or drinks, visit an exhibition of the area and enjoy the unique view from the panorama space.

As floor- wall- and ceiling finishing we chose tough materials that strengthen the character of the building. Besides this, in each room, we designed special items for which we let ourselves be inspired by the surrounding landscape, such as the tree-chandelier, the polder table, bird watch cabinets, a tapestry on which the history of Almere is displayed and a mobile showing the role of the goose in the ecological balance of the Oostvaardersplassen.

Partially because of its special interior, nature centre De Oostvaarders is a beloved place in Almere that is regularly rented by companies and private persons for parties, receptions and congresses.
