Scenography for an exhibition at museum Boijmans van Beuningen

The Portscapes exhibition was the culmination of a one-year art project, for which Dutch and international artists presented their vision of the expansion of the port of Rotterdam.

The remote harbour itself inspired us for the design of the exhibition. To do justice to the works of art in the large museum hall, we placed them in shipping containers, iconic symbols of the port.

The containers, copied in semi-transparent textile, evoke an imaginary image of a port area, as a reference to a port that does not yet exist.  The play with transparencies gradually revealed the exhibition.
