Startup landscape

together with bureau SLA we developed a plan for the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) to turn their newly developed Amstelcampus into a sustainable hotspot for the city, and to establish a real 'campus feeling' there.

There's a lot of entrepreneurship at the HvA: students are finding out how to earn a living with what they learn at the university. Many students start a small business during their studies. The startup landscapes makes space for this entrepreneurship, and makes it visible in public space.

The startup landscape is a modular and flexible system of small startup units, that house student businesses. The cradle-to-cradle and self sufficient units will appear on different locations at the campus. During the first months of 2015, more than 10 students of different educational programmes of the HvA will work on components of the plan. The first units will be built during the second half of 2015.
